This project presents the name “Aminah Mubarak Al Sulaiti – آمنة مبارك السليطي” in the prestigious Ottoman Tughra style. This design functions as a traditional imperial seal, turning a personal name into a historical work of art.
The concept is Ancestral Distinction. Historically the signature of Sultans, the Tughra represents the peak of calligraphic authority. By applying this to the name Aminah, the design evokes a sense of lineage and timeless nobility, functioning as a “coat of arms” in script form.
The Thuluth-based Tughra is a complex feat of engineering, featuring three vertical towers (Tug) and sweeping horizontal loops (Beyze). It requires a master’s touch to distribute the multi-part name into this iconic, centuries-old silhouette.
