In this beautiful and elegant Arabic calligraphy, a unique rendering of the Bismillah / البسملة (In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful – بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) is presented in decorative Thuluth Jali script. The distinctive feature lies in the creative balance of long letters of the Alef and Lam, harmoniously arranged in a visually appealing manner. This Bismillah takes center stage in a larger size. Surrounding the Bismillah in a smaller size is the verse 40 from Surah Ibrahim, translated as “My Lord, make me one who establishes the prayer, and also of my offspring. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass – رب اجعلني مقيم الصلاة ومن ذريتي ربنا وتقبل دعاء ربنا اغفر لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم الحساب” This verse is gracefully integrated and forms an almost perfect circle, with the exception of the extended Alef and Lam, showcasing the classic Thuluth script. To complement the composition, ornamental star patterns grace each side of the verse, and a decorative circular floral frame and border encircle the entire calligraphy, adding an additional layer of beauty to this intricate and sophisticated piece.
