This poignant project captures the soul of Joseph Harb’s poetry, famously sung by Fairuz: “From My Heart, Peace to Beirut – من قلبي سلام لبيروت”. The composition features a masterful hierarchy of scripts, crowning the city’s name with a regal Thuluth Jali flourish and a protective Diwani embrace.
The concept is The Sovereign Jewel. By rendering “From My Heart” in a decorative Thuluth Jali with an extended Yā’ that curves around the entire phrase like a crown, the design suggests that love for the city is a precious, guarded treasure. The “Peace to Beirut” section below follows a half-spherical arc, symbolizing a world of peace surrounding the Lebanese capital.
This piece utilizes Thuluth Jali for the prominent “headpiece” of the quote and Cursive Diwani for the rhythmic, flowing base. The contrast between the architectural strength of the Thuluth and the melodic movement of the Diwani mirrors the duality of Beirut, a city of both monumental history and artistic fluidity.
We engineered the extended Ya letter to act as a visual border, nesting the Diwani script perfectly within its curve. The final artwork was vectorized to ensure that the “jewel” effect of the Thuluth and the delicate slopes of the Diwani remain sharp and professional for high-end prints or cultural memorials.
Delivered as a professional vector file, this design is the premier choice for commemorative cultural posters, luxury art books, or as a sophisticated focal point for spaces dedicated to Lebanese heritage.
