This deeply personal project celebrates a family’s bond, centering on the names (Jamal and Rula – جمال و رولا). Using Thuluth Jali, the parents’ names are interlocked in the center, while the children’s names (Muhammad, Hala, Doa, and Malak – محمد, هالة, دعاء, ملك) form a protective arch beneath them in Classical Thuluth.
The concept is The Loving Embrace. The design is structured so that the name “Rula” physically embraces “Jamal,” symbolizing partnership and support. Below, the children’s names are linked by heart-shaped “Waw” letters (the Arabic word for “and”), visually manifesting the love that connects every member of the family.
We utilized Thuluth Jali for the central names to provide a majestic focal point, and Classical Thuluth for the children’s names to create a balanced, legible arch. Floral ornamental patterns at the boundaries provide a “garden” frame for the family unit.
We engineered the arch to be perfectly symmetrical, ensuring the heart-shaped ligatures were spaced evenly. The final composition was vectorized, preserving the intricate “Tashkil” and the delicate floral details for large-scale printing or laser-cut wood displays.
