This project presents the revolutionary lines inspired by Julia Boutros: “Resist, for your hands are the tornado storm (قاوم فيداك الإعصار)”. Composed in a strong, vertical Thuluth Jali arrangement, this piece embodies the spirit of resilience, with letters stacked to create a visual ascent toward victory.
The concept is Unyielding Strength. The vertical stacking reflects the height and intensity of a storm, turning the calligraphy itself into a pillar of resistance. The Thuluth Jali script provides the necessary weight and architectural stature to convey the poem’s intense emotional depth.
Thuluth Jali was chosen for its masculine, bold presence. Its ability to create interlocking ligatures in a vertical space makes it the perfect vehicle for a message of determination and defiance.
Construction involved aligning the words vertically to maximize the impact of the “tornado” metaphor. We adjusted the ligatures to ensure that even stacked vertically, the text flows with a singular, forceful energy. The design was then vectorized, ensuring the bold strokes are perfectly sharp and professional.
This vector file is optimized for large-scale protest art, architectural installations, or high-impact posters where the message of resilience needs to command the space.
