Surah Al Ikhlas In Geometric Thuluth Arabic Calligraphy

This project presents Surah Al-Ikhlas (سورة الإخلاص), the profound declaration of monotheism, in a masterful octagram-shaped arabesque. By integrating the verse into a geometric Thuluth composition, this work transforms the message of “He is Allah, One (قل هو الله أحد…)” into a radiant, eight-pointed geometric star.

The concept is centered on convergence. The design uses the long vertical strokes (the Alifs and Lams) of the Thuluth script to act as the radii of the octagram. By curving these long letters toward a central point of unity, the design mirrors the theme of oneness (Tawhid), drawing the viewer’s eye into the heart of the composition.

We employed the Thuluth script, valued for its architectural weight and majestic presence. The script provides the necessary “strength” for geometric designs; its formal proportions ensure that even when forced into an octagram frame, the text remains readable, dignified, and perfectly balanced.

Construction began by plotting the geometric octagram and aligning the verses to flow within the eight sectors. We carefully calculated the curvature of the long letters to ensure they converged perfectly at the center point. Following the manual layout, the piece was converted into a high-precision vector file. We manually cleaned the nodes at the center convergence to ensure the octagram remains geometrically flawless and the Thuluth strokes remain razor-sharp.

This work is delivered as a professional vector file, ensuring it can be scaled for large-scale geometric installations, intricate laser-cutting, or high-end architectural metalwork while preserving the integrity of the geometric arabesque.
