This project highlights Verse 19 from Surah Al-Imran: “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam (إن الدين عند الله الإسلام)”. Presented in a single, fluid horizontal line of Diwani, this piece celebrates the cursive beauty and balance of Arabic calligraphy, where every letter is seamlessly joined in a stunning visual unity.
The concept is Flow. By utilizing a single horizontal line, the design emphasizes the clarity and directness of the message. The cursive nature of the Diwani script allows the letters to “link” in a way that feels like a singular, continuous movement, representing the interconnectedness of faith.
We used Diwani for its unique cursive character. Its ability to create intricate, flowing ligatures makes it the ideal script for emphasizing the harmony and “seamless” nature of the verse’s meaning.
We carefully balanced the spacing between the words to maintain a perfect, rhythmic flow across the horizontal line. The final design was vectorized, ensuring the cursive terminals and the natural tapering of the Diwani strokes are preserved with professional sharpness.
