This Arabic calligraphy artwork is a logo design featuring the text “Al Sanad – السند” executed in the classical Arabic Thuluth calligraphy style. The logo is meticulously composed in a perfect circular shape, a particularly challenging achievement given the strict structural rules of the Thuluth script.
Thuluth is considered one of the most difficult Arabic calligraphic scripts to shape, as each letter follows precise proportions measured by dots, and certain letters are traditionally resistant to geometric formation. Despite these constraints, this piece has been carefully crafted to allow the letters to fit harmoniously within a circular form while preserving the authentic rules and elegance of the script.
The alif begins from the top, defining the primary arc and shaping the main circle. Within this structure, the lam and sin letters flow gracefully inside the form, while the extension between the sin, nun, and dal creates a smooth internal connection. This interplay of strokes results in a beautifully balanced and cohesive composition. The final design is clear and easy to read, yet rich in sophistication and artistic depth. It reflects both technical mastery and aesthetic refinement, presenting an elegant and visually striking example of circular Arabic calligraphy in the Thuluth tradition.
