And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction – رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا”. Crafted in Classical Thuluth, the verse is arranged in a single, dignified horizontal line that exudes peace and authority.
The concept is The Threshold of Mercy. This verse is often placed near entrances to welcome believers with a prayer. The linear arrangement represents a “border of protection,” welcoming the righteous while establishing a spiritual boundary for the home.
Classical Thuluth was chosen for its clarity and architectural strength. The script’s tall vertical Alifs act like pillars, providing a sense of stability and sanctuary that perfectly matches the theme of a home filled with faith and Divine forgiveness.
Given the length of the verse, we focused on the “kerning” of the script to ensure it remains legible even at a distance. The final artwork was vectorized to allow for perfect scaling, whether for a small framed print or a large architectural inscription above a doorway.
