In this classical and elegant Arabic calligraphy excerpted from the Holy Quran, the verse 255 from Surah Al-Baqarah, also known as the Verse of Thrones or Ayatul Kursi (آية الكرسي), is gracefully inscribed in the classic Thuluth script. The verse, translating to “There is no god except He, The Living, The Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge except what He wills. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is The Most High, The Exalted.” is presented in a composed arrangement, structured into four horizontal lines stacked atop each other. The beauty of the Thuluth script is evident in the elegance and majesty of the letters, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of the calligraphy. The verse is meticulously crafted, each line flowing seamlessly into the next. Additionally, a splendid touch is added with the Bismillah inscription in Thuluth Jali, shaped in an oval, spherical form, complementing the composition. The calligraphy not only conveys the profound meaning of the Ayatul Kursi but also pays homage to the artistry of the Thuluth script, reflecting the reverence and beauty of the Quranic verses.
