This project renders the names “Farah and Faisal – فرح و فيصل” in the graceful Nastaliq script, shaped into a stunning butterfly silhouette.
The concept is The Weightless Union. Known as the “Bride of Scripts,” Nastaliq’s slanting rhythm is used to form the patterns of the wings. By writing the names together on one wing and mirroring it to the other, the design creates a perfectly symmetrical icon of joy and balance.
Nastaliq is prized for its effortless flow and varying line weights. These qualities are harnessed to mimic the organic veins and curves of a butterfly’s wing, resulting in a composition that is both highly readable and intensely artistic.
We focused on the delicate “hanging” nature of Nastaliq to ensure it fits the wing’s anatomy without losing its linguistic integrity. The final vector file ensures that the subtle gradients of the strokes are captured for high-end printing.
This vector format is ideal for artistic personal branding. Use it for custom-printed silk scarves, laser-etched mirrors, or as a beautiful large-scale wall mural for a creative space.
