This piece renders the profound proverb “Nothing lasts forever (دوام الحال من المحال)” in decorative Diwani calligraphy. Through the cursive intertwining of the letters, the artwork visually reinforces the concept of impermanence, the idea that all situations are fluid and change is the only constant.
The design embodies Fluidity. The letters are interconnected in a way that suggests constant motion. By eschewing rigid angles in favor of continuous curves, the calligraphy serves as a visual metaphor for the inevitable, gentle flow of time and change in life.
Diwani was chosen for its inherent instability (in a positive sense), its lack of fixed baselines and its focus on curves makes it the most effective script for illustrating the concept of “fluidity” and change.
We drafted the composition to emphasize the “intertwining” of the words. We ensured that the ligatures are tight and complex, visually binding the concept of the proverb to the structure of the script. The final design was vectorized, ensuring every curve is fluid, professional, and scalable.
This vector file is perfect for meaningful home decor, contemplative art pieces, or modern branding where the proverb’s philosophical depth needs a sophisticated visual representation.
