Based on the profound verse from 1 John 4:16, “God is Love – الله محبة”, this project combines classical Thuluth with modern artistic innovations. The composition features unique letter modifications, including a twisted Alif and an expressive, extended Hā’, to visually convey the warmth and infinity of love.
The concept is The Twist of Grace. The “twisted curve” at the top of the word “God” symbolizes the divine touch that reaches down to humanity. The extended, flourishing terminal of the word “Love” suggests that affection is a force that expands and surrounds us, moving beyond the boundaries of the text.
We utilized a customized Thuluth Jali approach. By modifying the traditional Ha’ and Ta’ Marbuṭa, we created a visual language that feels both ancient and contemporary, perfectly suited for a message that is universal and timeless.
Construction involved balancing the heavy vertical presence of the word “Allah” with the horizontal flourish of “Mahabba.” The final design was vectorized, ensuring the delicate twisted details and the sweeping artistic flourishes are flawlessly preserved for high-quality printing.
