This project features Verse 87 from Surah Al-Anbya: “There is no true deity except You, You are glorified of all faults and sanctified. Indeed, I was one of the wrongdoers (لا اله الا انت سبحانك اني كنت من الظالمين)”. Arranged in a spherical horizontal oval, this Thuluth Jali masterpiece integrates artistic flourishes for a truly majestic result.
The design follows a “spherical oval” geometry, providing a sense of expansive serenity. A key artistic feature is the placement of the letter Kaf at the top center, which protrudes slightly from the oval’s edge, adding a dynamic, sculptural element to the composition and elevating the viewer’s focus.
We used Thuluth Jali, a script that demands technical mastery. Its bold weight and precise proportions are utilized here to create a composition that is both majestic and elegant, capturing the profound humility of the verse through high-caliber calligraphic structure.
The construction focused on maintaining the balance of the spherical oval shape. We mapped the long ligatures of the verse to fill the horizontal space while ensuring the Kaf remained the focal point. After finalizing the manual composition, the design was vectorized, ensuring the curves of the oval and the sharp terminals of the Thuluth script are clean and perfectly balanced.
