Verily With The Hardship There Is Relief In Thuluth Arabic Calligraphy

This project presents verses 5-6 from Surah Al-Sharh: “So, surely with hardship comes ease. Surely with that hardship comes more ease (فإن مع العسر يسرا إن مع العسر يسرا)”. Rendered in Thuluth Jali, the horizontal composition is a masterclass in balance, specifically through the uniform, elegant treatment of the letter Ain (ع).

The concept is Resilience. By repeating the verses in a steady, horizontal flow, the calligraphy emphasizes the promise of relief. The uniform placement of the Ain acts as a rhythmic anchor, creating a visual consistency that reinforces the theme of steadfastness during difficulty.

We chose Thuluth Jali for its structural majesty. Its ability to create long, graceful horizontal lines makes it perfect for rhythmic, repetitive verses, ensuring each word has the space and weight to be fully appreciated.

We focused on aligning the Ain characters to create a consistent “pulse” across the composition. After establishing this rhythm, we refined the terminals of each word to ensure they flow naturally into one another. The piece was vectorized to ensure the script’s curves and bold weight are perfectly sharp and consistent.

This vector file is perfect for architectural signage, framed home art, or professional stationery. Its horizontal, balanced nature makes it exceptionally versatile for a wide range of high-end applications.
