This project presents the name “Asmaa Muhammad Sultan Al Kuwari – أسماء محمد سلطان الكواري” in the traditional Ottoman Tughra style. This design functions as a prestigious imperial seal, turning a long personal name into a historical work of art.
The concept is The Sovereign Monogram. Historically the signature of Sultans, the Tughra represents the peak of calligraphic authority. By applying this to the name Asmaa, the design evokes a sense of lineage and timeless nobility, functioning as a “coat of arms” in script form.
The Thuluth-based Tughra is a complex feat of engineering, featuring three vertical towers and sweeping horizontal loops. It requires a master’s touch to distribute the four-part name into this iconic, centuries-old silhouette.
We meticulously mapped the lineage into the “sere” (base) and loops of the Tughra, ensuring the visual weight was perfectly distributed. The final design was vectorized, ensuring every intricate loop is razor-sharp for luxury personal seals or signet rings.
