Lotus Flower And Pure Petals In Arabic Diwaini And Thuluth Calligraphy

This Arabic calligraphy artwork is a unique and special piece shaped like the bottom half of a circle, masterfully combining two distinct calligraphic styles. The top part features the title “Lotus Flower – زهرة اللوتس”, written in decorative Diwani script. This section is an intricate and complex arrangement of white Arabic calligraphy, forming a semi-circular shape centered toward the top of the composition. The letters are densely arranged with overlapping strokes and varied sizes, creating a visually rich and elegant display that demonstrates the complexity and ornamental beauty of Diwani script.

The second part is located along the bottom half-arch, surrounding the semi-circular shape. It is written in classical Thuluth script and contains a short poem: “بتلات نقيات خُمنَت ولم تُشاهَد” (“Pure petals guessed at and never seen”). The Thuluth calligraphy is clear, elegant, and readable, providing a graceful contrast to the intricate Diwani above.

Overall, this artwork beautifully demonstrates how Arabic calligraphy can combine complexity, readability, and visual harmony, transforming words into both art and meaning while celebrating the aesthetic richness of classical scripts.
