This unique artistic project presents Verse 50 from Surah Sad: “Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them – جنات عدن مفتحة لهم الأبواب“, expertly shaped into the form of a pear. Using the majestic Thuluth Jali script, the verse takes on a lush, organic silhouette.
The concept is The Harvest of the Soul. The pear shape is a classical motif in Islamic art, symbolizing sweetness, abundance, and the “fruits” of one’s deeds in the afterlife. By shaping the verse about the Gardens of Eden into a fruit, the art provides a literal visual metaphor for the rewards that await the faithful.
Thuluth Jali was utilized to fill the “body” of the pear. The letters are curved and stretched to follow the organic taper of the fruit, showcasing the script’s incredible versatility in figurative or “zoomorphic” calligraphy.
We drafted the pear silhouette first, then “planted” the letters within, ensuring the text remains legible while conforming to the narrowing top. The final artwork was vectorized to ensure that the unique silhouette remains crisp and professional at any scale.
Delivered as a high-resolution vector format, this figurative design is perfect for unique kitchen or dining room decor, specialized Islamic art exhibits, or as a creative logo for heritage brands.
