This logo commission features the phrase “Noor Al Wilayah – نور الولاية,” which translates to “Light of the State.” The design focuses on the noble authority of the phrase, utilizing a structured and powerful calligraphic style to serve as an official emblem or institutional mark.
The primary goal for this logo was to achieve a sense of monumental presence. By stacking the words “Noor” and “Al Wilayah” in a balanced, vertical layout, the design mimics the structural aesthetics of grand public inscriptions. This composition emphasizes clarity and dignity, ensuring the logo conveys a feeling of permanence and institutional legitimacy.
We employed the Thuluth Jali script for this design. Thuluth Jali is the pinnacle of formal Arabic calligraphy, characterized by its bold proportions and majestic presence. Its ability to command space while maintaining internal harmony makes it the standard for high-level branding that requires an aura of heritage and state-level importance.
Every line was crafted from scratch by hand to ensure that the proportions are mathematically sound. The interaction between the elongated vertical strokes of the Alif letters and the sweeping curves of the Waw and Ya was carefully refined to maintain perfect legibility at both a distance and in small print sizes. We focused on the precise spacing between the letters to ensure the logo feels unified and deliberate rather than crowded.
