This project focuses on the formal title of the Islamic marriage ceremony: “Aqd Qiran – عقد قران” (The Marriage Contract). Rendered in the timeless Classical Thuluth script, the design captures the solemnity and grace of a life-long commitment.
The concept is The Strength of the Covenant. In wedding traditions, this title is the centerpiece of the contract. The use of Thuluth, the “mother of scripts”, gives the event a sense of permanence and historical nobility, reflecting the weight of the promises being made.
Classical Thuluth was chosen for its unrivaled legibility and architectural beauty. The letters are spaced with a sense of “breathing room,” allowing the viewer to appreciate the elegant curves of the sturdy verticality of the letters.
We prioritized a clean, balanced horizontal layout to ensure the title serves as a perfect header for official documents or invitations. The final piece was vectorized, making it ideal for gold-foil stamping, letterpress, or digital wedding branding.
