This exquisite piece renders Verse 30 from Surah An-Naml: “Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads (إنه من سليمان وإنه…)” and the Bismillah “In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful – بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم” in a unique, two-part composition. The verse forms an ornate vase of Diwani flowers, while the Bismillah is rendered in a masterful Tughra seal.
The design juxtaposes Authority and Growth. The Tughra Bismillah provides an authoritative, royal “seal” to the piece, while the Diwani verse “blooms” from it in the shape of a vase filled with floral calligraphy. This reflects the dual nature of the message: the weight of Solomon’s authority and the grace of the divine opening.
We combined the Ottoman Tughra (for its symbolic, heraldic majesty) with Diwani (for its fluid, decorative flexibility). This fusion highlights the calligrapher’s skill in balancing rigid, royal script forms with soft, organic text shapes.
Construction involved creating the Tughra core first, then building the Diwani vase around it. We meticulously shaped the Diwani letters to resemble floral stems and blooms. The piece was vectorized with careful attention to the density of the Tughra’s interlaced lines versus the lightness of the Diwani vase, ensuring both are perfectly readable and sharp.
Provided in high-resolution vector format, this complex composition is perfect for large-scale art displays, high-end publications, or unique archival prints that demand technical and artistic complexity.
