This project is an intricate visual poem centered on the phrase “Oh From Love (آه من العشق)“. The central text is sculpted in Decorative Diwani to resemble the crown of a rose, while the surrounding romantic verses are woven into a circular Thuluth arrangement, all housed within a squared Arabesque border.
The concept is The Garden of Passion. The rose-shaped center symbolizes the beauty of love, while the circular Thuluth script represents the “side effects” and torments that encompass the heart. By framing the circle within a square, the design reflects the tension between the wild nature of emotion and the structured reality of devotion.
We utilized a rare fusion of Decorative Diwani for the organic “rose” center and Classical Thuluth for the surrounding poetic cycle. The contrast between Diwani’s playful curves and Thuluth’s majestic gravity creates a sophisticated, multi-layered narrative.
The composition required a complex “nested” layout. We drafted the rose-shaped center first, then mapped the circular poem to ensure a symmetrical repeat. “Oh, from Love’s torments and its side effects. It seared my heart with its fiery heat. my eyes never looked to someone else except you, I swear that by god and its holy verses – آه من العشق وحالاته احرق قلبي بحرارته ما نظر العين الى غيركم أقسم بالله وآياته“. The final artwork was vectorized to preserve the high level of detail in the four corner ornaments and the fine lines of the Arabesque border.
