This project presents the foundational Quranic praise, “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin – الحمد لله رب العالمين”, in the prestigious Ottoman Tughra style. This distinctive design incorporates floral ornaments within the Tughra’s “egg” (beyze) loop for a touch of imperial elegance.
The concept is The Sovereign Gratitude. By using the Tughra (historically the seal of Sultans) for a verse of praise to the Lord of the Universe, the design suggests that the highest form of authority is spiritual gratitude. The floral “beyze” symbolizes the flourishing of the world under Divine care.
The Tughra style is characterized by its three vertical towers and sweeping horizontal curves. It is one of the most technically demanding forms of Arabic calligraphy, requiring a master’s touch to fit an entire verse into the traditional monogram silhouette.
We carefully distributed the verse across the “Sere” (base) and “Tug” (verticals) of the Tughra. The internal floral ornaments were designed to complement the script without overcrowding the loop. The final artwork was vectorized for high-resolution use in architectural or luxury branding.
